About Carlos

 Background: I am a RETIRED United States Army Military Policeman and served in the military for 20 years. I have four daughters ranging from elementary to college age. We enjoy traveling, playing games, and doing things outdoors like camping and fishing. You might see them around the shop interacting with all of our customers and helping foster a relaxed, fun, family atmosphere while developing their work-related skills.

Discovering Passion:I have been cutting and styling hair since I was fifteen years old. I discovered a hidden talent and hobby at a young age that became my second passion.  I have always been considered the “go-to guy” for soldiers in my units or family members who want a haircut or are looking for something different. 

 
Hitting the Books:I cut hair on my own until I got the opportunity to attend Cutting Edge Hair Styling Academy in 2010.  Unfortunately the school closed, and I was also reassigned to a post in Georgia.  Returning to Leavenworth in 2015, I continued pursuing my education at Headlines Barber Academy in Kansas City to complete my certification. I graduated in August and recieved my licensed in September with over 90% profeciency.

Community Involvement:Since 1998, I have been a part of the Fort Leavenworth and Leavenworth communities throughout multiple duty assignments.  I have developed a love for the people who live here and will strive to provide our customers world class service. I am excited to serve Lansing and the surrounding areas while fostering business and customer relationships.
